Sterling silver and hand dyed/printed aluminium butterfly drop earrings.
The aluminium butterfly long drop earrings have been hand painted in apple green with a turquoise and blue print. The butterfly shapes have a slight curve to them.
Size- Approximate drop 3 cm. Butterfly is 2 cm at the widest point.
Earring wires- sterling silver long hooks.
All my aluminium jewellery is created from small panels of hand printed and dyed aluminium. The process can be pretty random, building up layers of pattern in various colours before dip dying and adding dyes to the panel using a brush. Once steam sealed to prevent fading I then select areas of each panel to use in my designs.
